Based on the shore of Belfast Lough in Carrickfergus, Victoria Court has been specifically designed to care for the Nursing needs of those who can no longer care for themselves.
The Home is a combination of a former manse, which has been sympathetically extended with purpose built accommodation. We cater for 45 residents (41 single and 2 twin) with eleven rooms having en-suite facilities. Each room in the home is fitted with a nurse call system and the first floor rooms can be accessed using our passenger lift.
There is a main lounge, library and two quiet lounges located throughout the home. We feel this is more therapeutic to our residents, as residing in small numbers is more akin to what they were once used to in everyday life.

Great Nursing home . The care my grandfather received in his final
Years was second to none, very friendly place, always something for the residents to do . The staff couldn’t do enough for him , calling me to keep me updated . I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a care home for an elderly relative .
Such a lovely place with an amazing atmosphere. Staff are really down to earth and can’t do enough for you. Completely above and beyond the service you would ever expect. Wouldn’t choose anywhere else to send my family. They are honestly treated like home from home. Thought it would be really hard finally deciding to go down the nursing home route but the staff have made it so easy and so comfortable it’s like home from home. Couldn’t rate them enough!
Tamlaght was the nursing home I chose for my mother. The loving care she received was second to none. The staff were kind and caring and always went the extra mile without hesitation.. nothing was ever too much bother….a big thank you for the endless cups of tea, sandwiches and the chats .. all were so so appreciated…
I know I made the right choice and I would have no reservations in recommending Tamlaght.
Recently visited Tamlaght to pay a visit to a late friend and from what I saw from my short visit was an immaculate home. Residents looked pretty comfortable and well looked after. Place was spotless and no unpleasant smells. Staff all looked happy in their workplace and capable to do anything and then there was the pleasant young male carer who approached me with a massive smile and offered me a cup of tea and bun which would make anybody feel welcome into the home so well done to him.
Keep up the good work guys you are doing a fantastic job
